Death is fun

"Bang bang, he shot me down. Bang bang, I hit the ground. Bang bang..." Isn't Kill Bill brilliant? Q were idiots to diss this mighty film. From Uma Thurman lying on the floor in a bridal gown with a gun at her head to one of the baddies getting her arms chopped off, it was brilliant. Quite possibly my film of the year. The fight scene where Uma has to fight Lucy Liu and her huge gang is the best bit, even though me and Owen (I'll come to that in a minute) were in hysterics because the gore was so OTT. It was like "Chop off a leg here, bit of decapitation there, chop him in half, duh duh duh, here comes GoGo with her mace, twat her in head with spiked club, scalp O-Ren Ishii in the Japanese garden..." and blood was spraying out of the gangs' bodies like water. Uma Thurman had to do a hell of a lot of martial arts training for this movie. She didn't waste her time. The gory anime section is cool as well.
"So who is Owen?" I hear you cry. Ha ha.
Block 40-43 were having a block party and our flat went and in the R'n'B room Megan introduced me to a tall skinny Irishman who said his name was Owen and that he was a socialist and a History student. First thing I thought was, "19 year old Tommy Scott on growth hormones crossed with the fit lead guy in Scrubs!" Second thing: "It's true what they say about Irish people talking being sexy." So to cut a long story short I went to a Hallowe'en party with him, was supposed to be going to Jillys but we ended up staying and getting pissed on vodka. And then we went to see Kill Bill the net day.
I love him so much. I hope this works and that he doesn't turn out to be as immature as Pete or as weird as Adam. Particularly not like Adam, although Owen isn't a Christian, so no religious issues there. But hopefully it'll work out, and I am not saying any more here as this is a family journal.
Samhain was cool - I dressed up as a cat. Ang and Faresh were vampires, Miriam was a devil, Birgall was one of the Blues Brothers, Duncan was a footballer (lame ass) and Joe was a cyber kid. We were going to go to Owens Park but the Bop was packed so we ended up staying in and scaring ourselves (especially in Lorraine's case) with Final Destination 2.
I should be reading Kafka, but I'm finding him hard going.
